Friends of I-CONnect are invited to attend a two-day Global Symposium on “Bicameralism under Pressure: Constitutional Reform of National Legislatures,” to be held at LUISS Guido Carli University on Monday and Tuesday, May 2 and 3, 2016.
This program is convened by Cristina Fasone (LUISS), Antonia Baraggia (Milan) and me.
Organized in memory and in honor of Gabriella Angiulli, this Symposium will feature six panels structured around two keynote addresses: the first by Maria Elena Boschi (Italian Minister for Constitutional Reforms and the Relationship with Parliament) and the other by Meg Russell (University College London). Panels will focus on “Bicameralism in Constitutional Doctrines,” “Bicameralism in the Framework of the European Union,” “Italian Bicameralism in Comparative Perspective,” “Challenging Bicameralism,” “Reforming or Abolishing the Upper House?,” and “Bicameralism and Representation.”
We are pleased to highlight the participation of notable ICON-S leaders Sabino Cassese and Marta Cartabia.
All are welcome to attend. For free registration, please send an email with your identifying information to cesp@luiss.it.
